AMA and Transgender Awareness Week 2020 posts on r/UnresolvedMysteries

This year, leaders and members of the Trans Doe Task Force were asked by the mods of r/UnresolvedMysteries to coordinate case write-ups to post on the subreddit. Profiles of both Does and missing people from our recently launched LAMMP database will be posted daily leading up to an AMA on the Transgender Day of Remembrance, Friday Nov. 20 at 12 PM Eastern. We held an online vigil via our FB page to remember the 52 unidentified people on the 2020 TDOR list. This page will contain links to all of the related post activity for the week as those links become available.

TDOR AMA – Friday Nov 20, 2020 at 12:00 PM Eastern

We will be doing an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on r/UnresolvedMysteries. Ask any questions you have for us. The topic is TDTF and TDOR, but any questions are welcome. We will answer questions throughout the day ahead of our livestream vigil, which will be held on our FB page.

Hi, my name is Anthony (he/him), and I am a co-founder of the Trans Doe Task Force, Lead Forensic Genetic Genealogist for Redgrave Research Forensic Services, and head instructor of the FG4LE Forensic Genealogy Training for Law Enforcement program. Hi, my name is Lee (they/them), and I am a co-founder of the Trans Doe Task Force, Lead Forensic Genetic Genealogist for Redgrave Research Forensic Services, and FG4LE instructor. I am an adoptee who solved my own genealogy mysteries and moved on to solving mysteries for other adoptees. I have helped to close more than two dozen cold cases since 2018. Hi, my name is Amy (she/her), and I have a PhD in Anthropology and have worked on over 40 forensic cases with law enforcement around the country. I am a professor at the University of New Hampshire where I teach courses in forensic anthropology, bioarchaeology, cold cases, human osteology, and general biological anthropology.
