Case Announcement: Jasper County John Doe, Rensselaer IN 1983 (LAMMP case)

When we began our research as the Trans Doe Task Force, we intended to focus solely on cases in which the victim might be transgender. Then, when our collaboration to build the LAMMP database began to rapidly expand, we realized that we wanted to be able to extend our ability to help any case that falls under the LGBTQ+ umbrella. Our primary focus will continue to be trans victims. Cases like this one matter to us, and we have decided to update our mission statement to reflect this. In this case, the perpetrator, serial killer Larry Eyler, was typically known to hunt for gay male victims. It is possible that this Doe could be part of or recognized by a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and is therefore being designated a TDTF/LAMMP case.
